Commonwealth Avenue, or "Comm Ave" as it's known around Boston, connects western suburbs with Boston's center and is part of the Emerald Necklace park system. Comm Ave first begins as a divided parkway at the western side of Boston's Public Garden where it is popularly referred to as Commonwealth Avenue Mall. Decorated with various memorials and statues, Commonwealth Avenue Mall is a beautifully peaceful place to stroll through, especially during the evening hours when the trees lining the greenery light up. As you pass Kenmore Square, Comm Ave then weaves its way past Boston University and a plethora of small eateries and cafes towards Boston College and more residential areas.
